Note - Due to the loss of a CD in customs between the tag office and the Canadian printing company the Share the Road tag printing has been slightly delayed. BWM had to re-send the information which was then properly sent to Canada and now the sample plates have been approved. I'm told by the state tag office that tags should be in local county offices no later than mid September - hopefully sooner. We will send all who have pre-purchased a tag a letter informing them when their tag is at their local tag office. Your patience is much appreciated.
It’s official! Mississippi now has a Share The Road specialty tag and we have successfully met the minimum of 200 pre-sold tags. The tag will cost $31.00 over your regular tag price with $24.00 going to Bike/Walk Mississippi. Our goal is to reach annual sales of 2,000 tags which will give our organization the funds needed to hire and support a full time Executive Director. The tag will serve a dual role as it will be an ever present reminder to motorists that we too have our right to the roadway.
The pre-purchasing phase is over, and we are no longer taking tag applications. We have not yet found out when the tags will be available for purchase at your local tag office, but as soon as we find out we'll update you with that info here.
