Executive Director: Melody Moody
Melody Moody joined the leadership of Bike Walk Mississippi as its Executive Director in August, 2010. Melody received her Masters of Arts in International Development with a concentration in Advocacy & Human Rights from Eastern University in Philadelphia, PA. Moody received her Bachelor of Arts at Belhaven University where she also served as the University’s Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator. A native of East Tennessee, Melody has called Jackson, Mississippi home for the past 12 years during which time she served for six years as the Director of Development for the Neighborhood Christian Center, an after-school tutoring program serving underprivileged children in the inner city of Jackson, Mississippi. In 2009, Melody co-founded The Jackson Bike Advocates where she assisted the group through her role as President of the Board of Directors. Because of her active involvement in the Jackson community, Moody was also voted one of “Jackson’s Young Influential’s” by the Jackson Free Press in 2005.
