Bike Walk Mississippi is first and foremost an advocacy organization.  This means that we work with elected officials and municipal leaders to advocate change from the top-down for a bicycle and pedestrian friendly Mississippi.  We work with Congress, Legislators, Mayors, MDOT Commissioners and other elected leaders asking them to support bicycle and pedestrian friendly programs, policies and infrastructure.  We know that creating a bicycle and pedestrian friendly Mississippi means increased economic development, access, health, safety and quality of life.  

We work on behalf of all bicyclists and pedestrians in Mississippi to showcase innovative and best practices along with compelling data to support the cause.  We help communities work with their local officials to make real change in on the local level, while simultaneously working on from the top-down to influence change from our decision makers.
